Red face I have a secret

Hello everyone,

I have a secret.. i've had it since Thursday but its time to confess now..
I was thinking of stopping Cruise's diet and going on the Atkins diet.. I spent Thursay, Friday, and a part of today researching and brushing up on my knowledge of the diet.. i actually started it today.. i only got past lunch
It turns out Atkins isn't for me.. I knew from the begining.. Cruise's diet is the only diet that has worked for me so far.. but i was just a bit cheeky and wanted to lose weight faster..

I'm glad i though about Atkins because i now am convinced even more that Jorge Cruise's diet is what works for me..
The 3 hour diet:
- works perfectly with my uni schedule.
- I never get hungry.
- I don't have to eliminate any "bad" foods.
- I lose weight without feeling like i'm on a diet (tired or grogey)
- I lose weight at a safe rate.
- It is a lifestyle change, i know i can easily stick with it.
- I keep my skin fresh by drinking my water.
- and much more..

The Atkins diet may work for other people.. it might have worked for me if i hadn't found out about Jorge Cruise's diet first.. But after i've been on Jorge's, i have set high standards now that i don't think any other diet can live up to..

I'm determined to stick to Jorge's diet now that i see how good it is for me .. i'll make that extra effort to excercise(which i havn't been doing) and hopefully i will lose faster.. if not.. i'll be happy with any kind of loss since i dont even feel like i'm on a diet, its only fair

I just had to confess coz i feel guilty about looking for something other than the 3 hour diet.. and to remind everyone of how great this diet is.. maybe even make people rememeber why they chose it in the first place which might help motivate some of you ladies..

Thanks for reading. Cheers
Emma

Hey Emma, thanks so much for the list of reasons why to stick with JC. I feel the same way you do; this diet can only be good for me because it has taught me to increase my veggies and lower my portions, which is the part of eating healthy that I needed! I also do not feel as though I'm on a "diet" but I really watch what I eat. The three hours is starting to feel a little natural. When I'm hungry at two hours, I drink some water, which can only be good!!!

I think I'll copy that list of reasons and put them on a sticky note in my bathroom for those days when I just feel ugh!

I'm glad you "confessed" and decided to come up with that list!!!

Emma, you have to do whatever works best for you.

I actually do both. I do Atkins, but I incorporate Jorge's theory of eating every 3 hours into it.

-I drink 8-10 glasses of water a day
-I eat veggies at breakfast, lunch and dinner
-I eat every 3 hours
-I eat small portions at a time
-I am never hungry
-I eat lean meats
-I do use butter and full-fat salad dressing, but not in large portions. And I did that on Jorge Cruise as well. I don't believe in margarine and fat-free salad dressing to me is a waste. My body needs fat
-I incorporate strawberries, raspberries and blackberries along with nuts and flaxseed into my diet
-My dessert is sugar-free Jello with spray whipped cream

I just don't eat the starchy carbs -- but I can't have 95% of them anyway. It is possible to eat the Atkins way and still do it healthy. I count my calories and I log my food.

Hockeyfan, ofcourse what works for one doesnt work for another.. its really cool how you have incorprated Atkins with the 3 hour diet. i would do that if i could but i like my carbs too much..

I think what is important is finding what works for you and doesn't leave you hungry all the time or frustrated or deprived. In the end, what counts is losing the weight in a healthy way!
