Question Help please...

Hi ya'll - I haven't forgot, I actually kept my food journal and tried my best for the three hours ...

but here's my dilema... I want to be a part of the April Challenge, but don't own a scale... however, I do own a measuring tape... what should I measure to keep some type of record? I thought my arms b/c that's an "obvious" place where I loose and gain.... will that work???

I dont' see why that wouldn't work. But I know around here some places like pharmacys have scales you can go step on for like a quarter. Could you find a place like that? I just worry that you may not see the *immediate* results with just measuring because sometimes it takes a while to see inches lost. Maybe some of the other girls can come up with a great solution!

If you are doing any kind of regular exercise then the inches will show well and first. But the pounds may show faster if you are just dieting. Our grocery stores here have scales to weigh on in the front of the stores.

If you can do nothing else then by all means measure.....it will show up and you will also know by the way your clothes fit.

Maybe one of your friends has scales you could use once a week???

But however you do it, don't give up!!!

When I was dieting with my doctor, he measured my upper arms, waist, hips, and thighs.

Default thanks :)

Since this is my first *real* diet that I REALLY am going to stick too, I'm not going to worry about it; I'm sure I'll be on it for awhile, plus I'll get a scale as soon as hubby gets paid again. Until then, I'll be okay with the measuring. Our stores here do not have a scale. I don't think I've seen a scale in a store in a very long time... maybe it's selective seeing lol!!! I'll hang in there, I'm bound to see some sort of results sooner or later. Thanks for the input!!!!

and I'm off.........

Little freedom, you can join in...measure what you like, and post any changes...give yourself 1 point for a loss...an inch seems like alot for a week...I don't know cause I really don't measure yet...but you can see what works..maybe a 1/4 inch? What do other people think about this? But still participate even if you can't WI!!!
