Is it just me or is this week going by slowly???

The weather is absolutely beautiful here in south Florida so I have made my dog a promise to start taking him on longer walks!!!! Since I started my gym I haven't walked him as far.

We are going to Gatlinburg in May and I just discovered that our resort is at the top of a big hill and it is a 10 min. walk to the downtown tourist area. Well, that is 15 min. downhill and probably 30 mins. uphill for me!

Even though I am getting stronger from the exercise it is not walking, it really is different so I have 5 1/2 wks to get my body ready for all that walking.
So I think I might change my challenge goal a bit to include the walking.

Make it a good OP day....

Phyllis

That's actually a good thing Phyllis. Can you imagine the feeling you will get everyday after going up that hill without having to stop to catch your breath. So when you're walking, try to imagine how that would feel to walk that hill without regular walking sessions compared to starting regular walking sessions. You can do it!

Well, Phyllis, we're not so lucky here in Michigan - still overcast and below normal temps for spring. However, they tell us this weekend should be partly sunny and in the low 60's - best we can do! I am also looking forward to nicer weather to get outside and walk!

You will have a wonderful trip to Gatlinburg so start that walking and get in shape. Just think, all that exercise will help you with your weight when you're on vacation!

Bored with retirement already Phyllis??? hehe

This week is just sort of meandering along for me. Yesterday I went on a field trip with Bobby to a local aquarium. It was a very nice day! I am so glad I had the opportunity to chaperone!! Next week I am going with Michelle on her 8th grade trip to Washington DC for 3 days, 2 nights. I am looking forward to that as well, but it is going to be VERY tiring! A 6 hr bus ride with 25 13 and 14 yr olds??? What was I thinking???!!!

Anyhow, food yesterday wasn't all that bad - there was just WAY too much of it! Jeesh! Today has been better. I do much better when I am at work. I am hungry, but I don't have any food here, so there is nothing I can do about it. I had a yogurt for snack and chicken salad for lunch, so its not like I am starving myself. But there are no other snacks for me to get my hands on, so I will do better today.

I need to take Michelle to the mall tonight for new sneakers for her trip. I need some comfortable/stylish shoes for walking as well. Hope I find something!

That's about it for me today! The weather is GORGEOUS here today!! I'm getting spring fever!!

I have spring fever too - it's in the 70s in Denver today and sunny. In fact, I may skip the gym tomorrow morning and go for a walk outside around the neighborhood instead and enjoy the weather.

I have a chocolate craving today - so far, I've resisted it. I still have 16 oz more of water sitting here on my desk staring me in the face to finish first. And I have to resist it anyway -- I don't have any cash at all with me so I can't go to the vending machine. It doesn't take credit cards.

I'm so glad to see you guys are still here, I knowI've been neglegent, equally so in my dieting also. So I fially bought the book ( I had just signed up to the online program) but I can't find the time to read it through, can anyone suggest key chapters that I can takle until I have a break in my schedule.
One more question for anyone who might have the answer. I am averaging at 3-4 hours of sleep a night and am commited to try and get at least 5 but does anyone know how to hand the eating every three hours? If I've had my last snack for the night but am going to be up for another 3 or so hours am I still suppose to eat agin? Or call it quits for the night?

I'm back up to 190 and need to be at 160 by suumer! Gasp!!! Not sur what to do

Hi Everyone,
I've been in a three-day online workshop for UoP. I've been doing terrible with diet - I'm hoping the Challenge will get me back on track. I committed the most serious violation of the WW program - avoided this week's meeting because I gained weight!

Beautiful day here - tomorrow is scrapping for me. Then, Friday I am meeting my sister for lunch (we live about 1.5 hrs apart - so we meet around 45 min for each of us).

Hope everyone is doing well,
Lynn

Default I missed you guys!

Hey

My new job rocks but, man, am I busy! How's everyone? I'll have to read all the posts! I keep falling off the wagon diet-wise. One of my co-workers is serving as my inspiration, though. She's dieting, too, so it's harder to cheat!

Thank God the weather is getting better- outdoor activity, here I come!
