Default Happy St. Patrick's Day

OK - Back on track. I went to a WW meeting yesterday. Should be easy to mesh JC with WW. Just eat my snacks so that I'm eating every 3 hours.

I also went downstairs to my gym and walked on the treadmill for 25 minutes!

Hope everyone has a happy St. Patty's day,

Lynn

I am very excited...I made it to my St Paddy's day goal of 230! Maybe I should weigh in on Fridays...down 2 lbs...great...I will weigh in on Monday and see if it stayed off! the office ordered corned beef sandwiches so I will have to have a gallon of water to offset all that salt!

have a great day ladies!

Glad to see you back Lynn, I have thought about WW also....a friend on the core (???) program has lost a lot. And yes it goes pretty well with the JC diet.

I have missed your posts so get some in before your class starts back up.

Hope Donald is doing better and you still have good help.

Vicki way to go girl.....am proud of you!!!! Keep up the good work.

Hi everyone,

Nice to see you Lynn!!!

Vicki --- Maybe you can eat only 1/2 the sandwich? Or take out some of the meat so it is not so huge?? Just a thought...

Well, I am happy to say that I got on the scale this morning and it FINALLY moved down. I am now 126!!!!! The lowest I have been in about 8 years!!! I started with the JC program on March 31, 2005 so it pretty much took me a year to reach my original goal of 125!!!! But, hey, I made it and boy does it feel good! OK so I still have 1 more pound until goal but I think I can do that by March 31!

Now.....I must thank all of you here and all of those at the JC site for their support. That is the only way I could have gotten through this year! I have NO DOUBT that I would have given up a long time ago if it were not for all of you!!!! 1 year is a long time to lose 32 pounds!!!!! Again...at least I am here!

I am now lowering my overall goal to be at 120. BUT...my focus has changed a bit. I am at a stage now where I want to focus on muscle toning and fat % loss. I have been looking into a few things and I really am interested in doing the "Body for Life" programme. Has anyone done that here??? I couldn't find a forum on that???

Anyway, it is a very strict program concentrating on weightlifting and smaller amounts of intense cardio. It is designed to really tone you up and it lasts 12 weeks for the challenge. I have been looking at the website and forums there and the transformations are amazing. I think I am at a stage now where I can tackle this. It will be hard but I want to do it!!

I will still be around here though....I love it here!! And I am greatful to all of you!!

The BFL programme also has you eating small meals every 3 hours or so. It is very in line with JC. However, it limits you a bit more. Again...I think I am ready for that....

Anyway..I thought I would share!!!!

Hi Anita,

A suggestion - consider a goal to maintain for 6 months before you set another weight loss goal.

Here is my thinking - We all can lose weight - just read through the boards - just about everyone loses. The thing that most of us cannot do is learn to maintain. I think that is more important to learn than to learn to lose. When you hit your goal, how about you hold there for 6 months. If you can do that, then set a new weight loss goal (if you still want to).

Just my thoughts (from the vantage point of having hit goal 4 times in my life, but NEVER having maintained.

Anita I am so very proud of you!!!! You must look wonderful, how about posting a new photo.

Maintenance is the hard part. I had lost 45 lbs. but gained it all back in a little over a year.

Lynn has a good idea about trying to just maintain for a few months. But we all have to do it our own way and I'm betting that you will get to that 120.

Congrats.

Top o' the morning to ya!

Vicki, you're my hero! I just missed my mark- I snuck in a beer or two last weekend.

Anita, I've read posts where people mention the Body for Life program- try a forum search.

I have a bit o' hangover so I love you all and I'm taking a wee nap now!

I had a little bit of corned beef and cabbage and it was totally nasty! I knew I didn't like cooked cabbage, but I'd never had corned beef. I didn't like it at all.

Anita, my former roommate did the Body for Life program. He toned up really well. It didn't seem too hard for him, but he did have to be in the gym every day.

I eat the Body for Life protein bars and they are yummy.

Anita-

I have the Body for Life Book. Got it before I started the JC program. I think you would do fabulous on that program. I would LOVE to look like the peple in that book. Unfortunately, I don't think I have the disipline at this point in my life to follow it to a tee. But having already acheived your first goal, I think it would be a perfect fit to follow up with at this point. And I think it would certainly ENCOURAGE you to maintain what you have already acheived! Good Luck with it and keep me posted. Maybe I'll join you now that I have decided to join Bally's!!

Vicki- AWESOME job so far!! You are doing GREAT! Be proud of what you have accomplished - treat yourself to a manicure or something!!

Susan- I don't care for corned beef and cabbage either!!
