Default Monday WI

I was up as expected. It was only up .5 lb. and that was good considering that I have eaten out since Thursday I'm not going to throw a , but I know that I have to get moving , increase my exercise and stay out of them darn restaurants. My goal this week is to exercise more, write everytime I bite and see some weight loss before TOM comes knocking on my door.

Eating out is definitely an obstacle to weight loss - oh - it can be done - but it is soooo much harder for so many reasons. Hang in there - that .5 gain is likely water - sodium content when we eat out is typically through the roof!

Way to go, Donna! Get back on the horse!

Bren, we made need to set up a restaurant "moratorium". I managed to eat out Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday- for brunch and dinner! It just tastes better than my cooking!

I maintained but had a monster steak and a few drinks this weekend- I'll be at the gym tonight. I already have 2,887 on my pedometer this morning from setting up a meeting room on the first floor from my third floor office... I haven't used the elevator yet today and, boy, am I glad I remembered deodorant! The coffee pot had a little issue... what a mess!

Have a great day everyone!

Well, I weighed in this morning and was down 9 lbs - yes you read that right.
I guess I have been really sick...actually I know I have been, but I didn't expect such a big loss. Luckly I can't eat anything remotely sweet because of the side effects of my ear drops...they make everything taste NASTY!!! My new word of the week has been Nasty! lol...even broccoli last night was awful I never thought of Broccoli having sugar. Baked chicken is about all I can tollerate. I have no idea how much longer I will be on these drops. I expect another week at least.

Now does this mean I made my Valentines Day Challenge or did I cheat?

Vicki, if what you were eating is mostly baked chicken and veggies, that's Atkins eating. Atkins is protein and veggies for the first 2 weeks with some fat and the average weight loss is anywhere from 5-10 lbs a week. Not exactly what you were trying to do, but . . .

I was down one more pound. I'm sick and I've been taking cold medicine which always makes my weight loss slow down.

I'm the opposite from the rest of you - I find out eating out in restaurants much easier. I'm so limited on the menu in a restaurant that I have to end up usually with salad, steamed veggies and plain grilled or broiled meat. At home I have more stuff to choose from that gets me in trouble. And I can never touch the dessert menu at a restaurant.

Vicki, I think you take the blessing and make sure you're getting your vitamins even if it means taking supplements for calcium, etc. Happy Valentine's Day, kiddo! You did it!

LOL- I do more than touch the dessert menu! Saturday, I ordered a salad but I also ate a couple bites of my boyfriend's cake. Not a major oops but still more cake than I keep in my house! Add two cocktails Friday night and a beer yesterday afternoon... yeah. Gym, here I come!

Have a great day, ladies!

No Susan, I am not doing Atkins...I had rice last night as well...Today, they boiled potatoes in the cafeteria looked better than my leftover rice so I had some of them plus a left over chicken breast. I am trying to get veggies in me but I don't want to push too hard too fast and all they had in the cafeteria were peas and carrots...both sweet veggies...try again tonight-maybe green beans?

If you weigh what you wanted to weigh then yo made the challenge. You didn't cheat - you were sick - of course - you may want to realize that there is always a chance that you could gain a bit back - but... maybe not - maybe you just got a boost, LOL... Feel better soon!
