I just reviewed 8 of the 10 assignments for my course - all-in-all, they are pretty good. Looks like this will be a good class.

My DD and SIL returned from vacation yesterday & picked up their cat. My cat is walking around looking for him.

Sun is out today. Wind has quieted.

News Flash - hot dogs + baked beans + Phyllis's chicken pot pie does NOT = OP. I'm up 2 lbs. from yesterday. Need to eat light today.

Well I have to work today and by body is really filling all that working out !! YIKES!! Kinda slow moving myself! The weather is nice today, sun is back and temps will be in the mid to upper 60's. Great walking weather!!

Ok for those who dont' know yet, Lynn and Dr. Daisy are going to take all the recipes in our recipe box and analyze them, break them down to whats OP and whats not. That will make it alot easier and I don't want everyone to think just because a meal is in our recipe box that it is OP because thats not the deal. Thats why they are going to break them down so we can see more accurately whats' what.

Ok Lynn I warned everyone the Chicken Pot Pie was NOT OP....lol But I didn't gain when I ate it. It is high in Carbs and I ate very little of the crust....my dh ate most of that part. Did you like it??? I marked not OP in the receipe section. However with all the low fat ingredients in it is healthier than a lot of dinners I could have. It's just a nice winter meal.

I am up still that .5 lbs....I have been really good, don't know where it is coming from. I exercise today so maybe that will help however I have been warned when you start exercising you usually gain a couple pounds at first....hope not.

Getting my hair done today so maybe I can get my dh to take me out to dinner since I will be beautiful!!! lol

Good morning All!

I'm off to a good start. Robert is all showered, shaved and I gave him breakfast. We will be leaving shortly for work. I was NOT very OP yesterday. Had some cookies and a pastry that I should NOT have eaten!!! Oh well, today is another chance to get it right and I WILL!!

I think it will be chicken breast for dinner tonight (provided I have enough time to cook! ) I have a VERY crazy schedule of kids activities tonight, so I will be driving around in circles from about 5:30 - 9:30! Maybe I better just get some heat and eat food tonight from the store and save the chicken breast for tomorrow night !

No scheduled exercise today, but I will try to squeeze in as many extra steps as I can - park farther away, use the stairs, go for a stroll up and down the hall at work - what ever I can.

Make every bite count today ladies!!

Something about yesterday or is it just something about Wednesdays all around??? Do you think deep in our minds we think, ok its mid week if we cheat then we have the rest of the week to get it off? Maybe so, but doing that you are not progressing to making a life changing event so remember those small little things can add up and catch up to you!!

Thats an interesting conumdrum Laurie......I'll have to give it some thought as far as the midweek thing. But I look at a cookie and say"Well, I'm not gonna give up cookies for the rest of my life, so 1 or 2 is okay". Unfortunately yesterday that got my sweet tooth going and then I indulged in the pastry. I'm taking a beautiful naval orange with me to work today, so NO temptation to stray!

It could just be me that thinks that way Sharon!! LOL! THe great thing about this plan is you dont' have to give up anything. Just watch portion control and make sure you get in a balanced exercise routine to counter act those additional calories!!

Good morning everyone! Laurie, I'll join you for that walk! I have been so cooped up in my house I think I have spring fever! I have been so busy reupholstering and painting some projects, cleaning and in general getting ready for our trip to Mexico in 2 weeks, I haven't had 2 seconds to think.
I haven't been OP or exercising but I have not fallen off the wagon completely - I'm really focusing on keeping my meals on time (with an occasional skipped one ) and balanced. I have learned that I get just as grumpy when I need water as I do when I'm hungry - go figure.
The kids are digging in the dishwasher so I gotta go - I will try check in later.

I am still hovering at about the same place too. GRRRRRR. I have to admit that I have been doing well all day but then at night after I put the kids to bed I have a snack and the snack turns out to be a binge. That is not good!! I have been thinking about this and I think I need to go to bed right away so I don't do this type of snacking. It totally jeopordizes my weight loss! So, I made a goal for myself to get to bed earlier so that I don't do this mindless eating late at night! Plus, the sleep will be good for me! I hope I can do it. It will cut into my online time. LOL!

Wow! Anita, hang in there... you are so close! I've been working on the early to bed thing, too. Just an idea... I have a small bowl of high fiber cereal (Kashi) when I really want an evening snack. I figure the fiber helps balance the damage and it is really filling. I'm also hoping it makes up for my half-*** breakfast attempts!

I actually sat down yesterday and made out a chart of the rewards I'm going to give myself along the way. I started out cheap and just made little "extra time" treats. Head to toe body lotion every day (why I don't do this anyway? no clue) for a feel good incentive and a positive start to my day. Hot baths whenever I feel beat up by the gym or as a reward. I decided on a manicure and pedicure every five pounds- about $15-25. My final act will be ZOOM teeth whitening and a facial at my favorite salon.

Besides great clothes, what is everyone else doing for incentives?

Today is not such a great day. Homeschool has been rough. We were sailing along until we hit math. Anyway, I'm struggling with some personal issues, trying to be a good mom, and stay OP. Feeling down, and overwhelmed. With Ed being gone, life is emotionally easier, but harder in that everything is all of a sudden on my shoulders.

Okay, enough whining. Got to go eat. Talk to you later.

Telling us how you feel is NOT "whining." It is sharing. If you don't feel free to share with us, we won't feel free to share either.

Math is enough to get anyone down - even Math teachers! If you ever need any resources let us know. A couple of us could surely help you find some.

I really admire your homeschooling your child(ren) - all 3? I also think it is more difficult to teach your own kids than to each others' children.

Any chance you can sneak in a walk or some kind of exercise? Might make you feel better.
