  • Good Morning everyone, how did everyone sleep? I can't believe its already Wednesday. Where has the week gone??? I am planning on going to the gym for the 3rd straight day today around 10. What my plans are is to go M-T-W- then walk on Thurs and Friday cause I typically work on Thurs and Friday, I would prefer to go every other day but it doesn't always work out that I can.

    Did anyone do any midweek WI's??? I had a rib last night and those are not exactly something good to eat while dieting, but I did only have 1 ! And if I am going to eat something bad like that I try to do it at the beginning of the week so I have the rest of the week to get it off.

  • Hump Day!!! YAY!

    Terrible winds here - understand - I am in NJ - so the wind we had here would make most Floridians laugh. Just bear in mind that our world does not stop for 6 inches of snow so it is all relative.

    Got my new scale yesterday - very snazzy. not sure if it will affect my WI this week or not. I needed a digital scale with the tenths position showing so I could notice if it was even a small difference. sometimes that matters to me.

    I will try to pop in to chat this afternoon if I can figure it out - also I get ds off the bus at 3pm so I would be late...

  • We got some ice and snow last night, so we had a snow day today. I am going to do nothing!!! I will definitely be able to participate in the chat, but I am not sure what to do. I will start exercising today. I have a couple of kick boxing DVDs and they are great cardio. It will take me a while to build myself back up to the workouts, but they are great. I have 30 more minutes until my 1st snack and I am hungry.
  • Good morning - I'm just across the Delaware river from Daisy & the wind knocked all of our garbage cans over & strewed the garbage all over the parking lot.

    Guess I'll go out, pick up garbage, and do some shopping.

  • The wind is crazy up here in Connecticut too. But it is weird because it is such a warm wind. I wasn't expecting that! But I am happy for it, NOT complaining.

    Today should be a little bit easier schedule than yesterday. I'll take DH to work, go in myself for about 3 hrs, then pick him up, have a quick lunch and then take him to therapy. The only thing on the agenda tonight is a meeting for me that should only last about an hour or so. Looking for ward to a quiet night!

    I will hit the treadmill today while Robert is in therapy. I plan to do 2 miles in 30 min at an incline of 4.5. I did that on Monday and I still felt it in my legs yesterday, so I think it is a decent workout for me.

    Eating yesterday was very good and the scale this morning showed that 1 lb gain gone! Thank goodness! Of course, it is Wed and I am the same as I was Sunday. I wonder if I'll show a loss by next Sunday? I hope so!

    Sounds like everyone is on course with exercise this week. Weigh to go ladies! Lets keep the focus on exercise!!!!

  • Very windy and chilly to the bone here in Colorado. I don't like it. I have long hair and if I have lip gloss on then my hair sticks to my lips. yuck!

    I did a mid- week WI and I am down a pound! First time in 3 years to hit this weight. I am hoping that this is the start of me breaking this stubborn plateau I have been in! So I am happy.

    I am tired today, ds woke up screaming due to nightmares at 2am. I couldn't calm him down and he was hysterical. He is almost 7 so its very unusual for this sort of thing. I can't remember the last time he ever woke up with terrors. Worse yet, my husband went downstairs and past our back sliding glass doors. He came back to bed and said he got a weird feeling. Like something bad was out there tonight. So I also stayed WIDE awake for another 30 minutes after we went back to bed. Then I woke up an hour before my alarm (5am)

    I am so excited about being 146! 1 more pound to my goal!!!! I hope I can do it! wait..... I CAN do it!!!

  • Awww - try to find some time to rest today Dani.

    I totally know what you mean about the lipgloss and the hair - happens to me all the time. On really windy days my hair goes up no matter what. When I need to wear a hat because it is cold, I stick it in a very high pony tail before putting on the hat. this way when I take the hat off I do not have hat head - in fact it usually looks very full - I do have a little thing of hairspray but I never spray right on my hair - I spray on my hands and then smoosh through my hair...

    Anyway - thought I would share - maybe that will help you!

    Oh - and congrats on the potential plateau breaker!
  • Well, Laurie I had the rest of your ribs I couldn't stop at just one. I didn't eat the whole slab, though - baby steps.

    Dani - You are doing fantastic It's success stories like yours that keeps me motivated. By the way, your DH who had the weird feeling - did he go back to bed and go right to sleep while you were up for an hour???

    Sharon - you wear me out just reading your posts. I don't know how you do it - and I'm a busy woman

    Lynn - have fun shopping - going for anything special? I just love to shop

    Daisy - what kind of scale did you get. I am looking for a weight watchers scale I just read about - it's really detailed :

    The weather here went from 55 degrees yesterday to snow and Ice this morning. I had to literally scrape down the van before my son and his friends could get in and the doors were frozen shut. So there I am out in the cold in my robe, my Do-Rag and my clogs (no socks) - it was quite a fashion statement I am sure the neighbors got quite a show All that so my son and his friends didn't have to stand out in the cold to catch their bus
  • Wow you all are brave getting those kind of scales.....most of the time I hate mine and don't want any extra info

    I exercised at the place I joined for 30 min. yesterday so hopefully I can get back on track with that....the dreaded scales showed .5 lb loss.....see that is technical enough for me

    Dani glad you are losing again, remember those last lbs. are the hardest to lose....we are not letting you get depressed my dear. You know Laurie still hasn't had to get that whip out yet BUT SHE CAN

    OK, Laurie and Teri eating ribs...that sounds so good, now I'll probably have to go out and get some.

    Hey Lynn, is picking up trash considered exercise for the day....lol
