Default Am I the only one?

Are there an extensive amount of server problems on this site or is it just me? I was thinking about paying for ad-free but if I did that and received server messages as much as I do here I would be just beside myself...

I get that ALL the time -

well obviously not ALL the time - but a good deal of time - methinks they need a bigger server!

Hmm - first time I got that was yesterday. I just figured it was bc of everyone being home for MLK day.

Try and PM Suzanne and see if there is anything they can suggest, I get that message too but honestly I dont' think paying would help that particular issue but thats me.

No - I know that. I was saying that if I HAD decided to pay for ad removal - the fact that the boards are not accessible on a relatively regular basis would irk me. The problem is that the server they have can not handle the site's traffic.

It happens to me on a rare occasion but I just have to wait a minute or two and can get on. Yes, I would ask about it if it is happening a lot.

Good luck, Phyllis

Daisy,

What kind of connection do you have? I have cable. Might that make a difference?

I have cable and I get on right away - rarely do I have to wait. And I am now getting more than usual pop-ups. It is annoying.

Also - use a browser other than Internet Explorer - a lot of popup ads are designed to be read by IE so that makes your browsing experience more hectic - I don't HAVE pop up ads and I use either Firefox or Netscape on my work PC and of course none of those things bother me on my Mac.

The issue is not my connection (which is cable BTW). The issue is that whatever server is hosting these message boards is not adequate for the traffic on this site. Now - I have thought about it some more and think I have figured it out - this is just the typical weight loss rush traffic at the beginning of a new year. More than likely the server is adequate for normal traffic.

I will just hang in there a bit - More than likely by February it will happen less and less.

Daisy you are probably right! In December it was NO pop ups and a lot slower around the forum.
