Default Superb News!!!!!

I got a promotion! I am so happy! I will be quitting my in home job and picking up more hours at the Fitness Club! I get a raise to compensate losing my job from home and get more hours. And get to come home earlier at night. instead of being home between 9 -10 pm I will be home from 7:30-8 and get to tuck my children in bed and read them bed time stories now! yippee!!!!

This starts next week and I am so happy! this means more amily time at night and more money to get some bills paid off!

Now the only problem is quitting my job. when to do it. Should I do it now or wait till Friday when I have no more shifts for the rest of the week? Or give them at least the extra couple days notice? Any suggestions????

Congrats with the promotion! How you will respond I suppose may be a combination of:
1. What you can feel peaceful with in your own heart
2. "Do unto others.................."
3. Would they be put in 'a spot' by you suddenly pulling your tent-pegs up?
Again - congrats with having more time for your family - (and make more moeny) I guess thats what everybody is searching for......

That is indeed superb news!!

MAGreta has the right idea....you have to do what is best for you. They will have to deal with it one way or another.

Thanks all! Here is my decision...... They wouldn't be too much in a bind if I left right away because they have hundreds of me. I need to do what is best for my kids and family. I feel peaceful leaving at short notice because...

I was on my home home (9:30 pm and No workout still) and my husband said he had put my 6 year old to bed. Later he went to check on him and he was sitting up in bed with the lights on just staring at the walls. My husband asked "what are you doing?" My sons reply, "Waiting for mommy" My husband said " Mommy will be late again and you need to sleep." My husband said the look on his face was devistating. So, there's my decision. My heart is with my son, and I am quitting tomorrow. If they need to have e finish the week I will. If not, then I feel that my sons needs are far most my #1 priority and he needs me. Every day I am dissapointing him by not being here.

Thank you all. Greta, your reply with I need to go with my heart was right on. I know if I was the employeer it would be frustrating, but as a mom, I would understand. Hopefully they wont be too mad. Thank you all for your responses, Greta, Donna, and Jen - you all helped me feel much better about what I need to do.

Big Hugs!
