Shanna, I'm so glad you are safe..the devastation and loss from Katrina that i saw on the news this morning is just terrible! It's hard to imagine sustained constant blowing winds of that velocity! Here, in the Midwest, we get storms, tornados, but the winds come and go and not that fast..I cannot even imagine going thru something like that!

Todays plans are to get my hair highlited this morning, come home and get dressed to go out and get my drug test for my new job..seems they have you put a cotton ball in my cheek or something? Then home to take care of boys after school and mundane tasks. Nothing much exciting. Hopefully someone else will have some more exciting plans for their day, huh?? LOL

I too feel very blessed for all that I have especially after seeing the news from the hurricane destruction down south. I can't imagine going through those hurricanes.

I had a jewelry party here lasts night with lots of goodies that hardly got eaten. So I packed most up and sent them off with DH to take to work. I kept a few things her for DD. I'm having a little trouble today staying OP, so I am glad there isn't much around. Just put the rest of the brownies that were calling me downt he garbage disposal!

Off to my women's bible study group. Oh no, it's one of the ladies birthday - so I think there will be a cake there! I am not going to eat it, I am not going to eat it, I am not going to eat it! I'll let you know later if I ate it!!!!!

HD's birthday is Thursday. This is going to be a tough week to stay OP>

Everybody in the path of Katrina and anybody who is feeling any effects from it, my heart goes out to you and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I didn't get to the school yesterday to get Eva's info packet and find out who her teacher is, so thats my plans for today. Nothing real exciting. I can hardly believe school start tomorrow! It feels like it shouldn't be startng for another month!
I didn't do to great yesterday OP, DH brought home pizza for dinner and I had just one slice but then we went for a drive and stopped at McD's, I had the grilled chicken club and ate only 1/2 my fries so I guess it's still better than what it would have been in the past! And I did do 35 minutes on the elliptical trainer when I got home. 1 day of cardio down, 4 days to go this week.

Hi everyone,

Yes, the destruction from Katrina is horrible! My heart goes out to all of you!!

I am back down the pound I gained at weigh-in! PHEW!!!! Still at 146!

I had a good day yesterday and I did my weight circuit. Today is cardio day for me. I have planned my food for the week and I plan to stick with it!!!

I have a student who lives/lived in Baton Rouge. I've been trying to reach her but have not been able to. I'm just praying that she is OK.

I just called the "Hoverround" motorized wheelchair folks. They are going to send someone here to show us their chair.

Tomorrow is scrapping day for me. I'm really looking forward to it.
