I have signed up The 3 Hour Diet, online. I am having major problems with my blood sugar and feel I need a lower carb/lower sugar diet than this. I have been reading about "The Zone" and "South Beach Diet." Does anyone know if either of these diets online, take in to consideration, your height? I have a problem trusting a diet that is same number of calories for everyone. I find, with the 3 hour diet, I am constantly thinking about food.
skyeagle, what if you do this program faithfully for 12 weeks before you decide to try a different program?
If you are still hungry, don't forget we have a list of "Freebies" we can utilize!
Drink your water (even if you don't feel thirsty).
Don't give up on yourself so quickly, Skyeagle. With the support of this website, you can do it. Just try it for 12 weeks (that's 3 short months!). You are DEFINITELY worth it!
I would give it a try too. It usually takes a good 3-4 weeks to REALLY get the hang of a new plan, as Mother Lynn once told us, it takes 21 days to break a habit and eating bad is a bad habit or we wouldn't all be here!!

Thanks for any help!
I am not personally on the 3 Hour Diet, but I do agree that the same amount of calories does not work for everyone. A 20 year old who is 5'10" and who runs 3 miles every morning is going to need more calories per day than someone who is 5'2", 35 years old, and who walks a mile 3 days a week for exercise.
So many people have succeeded on the Cruise diet, no matter of size, exercise, sex. It does work. It is just not FAST weight loss, up to 2 lbs a week. It is a healthy diet and you are not deprived of any foods.
The Flax oil is to be taken if you have no fat at a meal. I have belonged to expensive diet centers and they want you to take flax too. There are many health benifits with Flax.
I understand it is hard to believe that is works for everyone but it does. I do believe that any diet will work if you work it, we just have to find the right one for our personal tastes and goals. I have tried the fast weight loss only to gain 45 lbs. back in one year, so now it is the slower, healthier way for me.
Thanks for your input aphil, I like that you are honest and it makes me reconsider why I am doing the JC diet and that is a good thing....keeps me motivated.
Is anyone a member of The 3 Hour Diet online? I am and you get a menu everyday. It seems the foods they choose have bad carbs, especially the high sugared snacks they choose. Seems as a type 2 diabetic I am going to have to modify their choices, to more like The South Beach or The Zone, or at least the way I understand The SB and The Zone. Thanks for listening to my rambling.
Despite the fact that I am a HORRIBLE example of the 3-hr-diet, I can tell you that there is nothing incompatible between South Beach, or the Zone, or Sugar Busters and 3-H-D.
I have been on all 4 and have been an online 3-H-D subscriber. The principles of the 3-H-D can be followed with ANY food. Simply switch the LGI carbs to HGI carbs and you're on your way.

As you can see, we're pretty sold on the 3-H-D on this board.

Lynn,
You said exactly what I was thinking! I think you can incorporate the Zone into the 3-hr diet. The 3 hour is quite flexible in that way! In fact, that is what I have been trying to do. I have been reducing my "bad" carbs and replacing with "good" carbs.
