Default The Secret Challenge Step #1 (Week 1)

Okay ladies here it is. A new Week, A new forum, and the begining of a New challenge.

Every week will be different so you MUST check in on Sunday mornings and get the scoop so you'll be up to date.

This week we will work on our food/ water. 1 point for each.

Then YIM the next day and tell me if you stayed op for food, water, or both. If you do not have my YIM, then YIM by clicking on the red Y! under my pic her on the forum. That works too. - Pretty convienent!

Do not email me - only YIM - its easier for me to track.

And then each day I will post a challenge question or activity to do to keep us all interactive with the challenge. Some will be to post on the forum and some to be YIM to me only. So PAY ATTENTION to where you are suppossed to post it at.

Day 1 Queation

What is holding myself back - PREPERATION! If I prepared moore carfully and deligently I would stay OP much more.

What I will do to reach my goals EVERY previous night sit down and right down a plan for my meals. Of coarse Imay have to modify it if something comes up, but in general stick to the plan I make and get my points!

ALSO EVeryone YIM thier weigh ins today. I know I can just look at them online, but if you do this its an extra point for you. EVery little thing I hav eyou do, is worth a point. So you can rack them up quick! Plus if you dont have a lot of points this is a way to get them. THANK YOU

Planning my meals day before. Whenever I have lost weight it is ALWAYS bc I plan my meal menu day before (or morning of) my day. I did not plan today's meals yet, but will do so right now.

Preparation, that's the one, when I have a plan what i will eat, then most of the time i'm keepit.

And Hunger, if im hungry, i's so hard to stay on the Plan. I'm not a water lover, so it's hard for me to drink all that water

I'm suppose to drink 140oz a day because of my weight. I have to push myself harder to drink more water.

My weight in is : 280.4 Which means i'm down .6lb it's not much, but yeterday i was 1lb up.

NOTHING is going to get in my way of getting my points this week. I wont let it! I will NOT be eating out this week, nor will I turn to diet coke instead of water so look out Dani cause Im gonna rack up on those points!!!

I will YIM you my weight tomorrow. Also can you post your new email you set up for us to send the challenge info to you

Julianna & Others,

If you are on any type of BP meds, especially ones with diuretics, do NOT drink more than 6 glasses/day unless you check with your doctor. My cardiologist had a fit when I told here I was drinking 8 glasses/day. She said too much of a strain on the heart.

According to her, it actually conflicts with many bp meds.

Good morning Ladies.
Thanks Dani, for organizing this. I need this challenge right now, to keep me going. I STS this week, which is frustrating, since I have been SOOOO good, and felt so good.

Day 1 QUESTION
**** What will hold you back this week from attaining your points?

I would like to say "nothing." However, we leave on Friday and I will be gone for a week. Friday is our fifth anniversary, however we will be spending it at dh's cousin's rehearsal dinner, and then Saturday is his wedding. So what COULD possible hold me back is eating at those two functions. I will talk myself up all week, to get me in the frame of mind to make the best choices I can. But with cake, and fattening food choices, it will be difficult. I know it will.

You guys! I know that coming hear every day, and seeing how well you guys are doing, which inspires me, or hearing that one of you is struggling too, so I don't feel alone, helps immensely! I will come hear every day and check in, to be held accountable for the choices I make. I doubt I will be able to check in starting on Friday, for about a week. (after the wedding, I am off to Salt Lake City for my Stampin' Up! convention.) Dani, can I email you or YIM you my points for the whole week when I get back from out of town? I will be honest....

Okay, ladies, here we go! Let's make this an awesome challenge!!!!

What gets in the way of my success?? Several things, one of which is
1. If I dont get up first thing and fill my water jug and do my 8mm..seems like the whole day goes to pot!!!

So I will get up first thing and do the 8mm and fill my water jug..and take it with me wherever I go!!

What will get in way? The biggest thing is poor menu planning, or none at all!
I will plan my menu for the week, adjust it each evening according to what I still have in the fridge, and stick to it everyday! With the support from you guys, I'm looking forward to this challenge.

What gets in the way of me staying on plan? Preparation.

What will I do about it? Plan out my day. Bringing a meal or snacks with me when I have to be somewhere that will conflict with my times to eat. Today, I put that in practice by brown bagging my lunch and eating at camp registration at 12:30 pm food that were on plan and on time. This prevented me from eating at 12 noon (which wasn't my time) and eating tacos (which weren't on plan). A little effort in the planning helps me stay on track.
