Hello my name is Mary, and I am brand new. I am looking forward to loosing 50 lbs that caught up with me fast. I am 52 and I know it will be harder for me to loose it. I have started to walk and I hope that will help also. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving

Hi Mary. I can identify with being older and wanting to lose weight. I'll be 63 next month and I'm still fighting the same old battle and I still need to lose the same 50 pounds and maybe more. I truly believe you need to change your lifestyle, but how do you do that after having so many bad habits for so many years? I'm hoping to find out through this forum. Good Luck. JaVee

Newbie here too....just joined. Guess Im just looking for support and to be able to hear what others are going through. Im desperate to lose weight, but cant seem to stick to a plan or diet. Think depression has a lot to do with it, in addition to the fact that I am an emotional eater. If anything little happens that disrupts my day or the way I want life to be, I turn right to food. Food has been a comfort to me my whole life. I live to eat, not eat to live. For health reasons and to save my relationship, I need to do something, just not sure where to start any more.

Hi Mary, It is harder to lose weight when you'e older (like us) but it can be done. My problem isn't losing, it's keeping it off! A good diet and exercise and determination is what it takes! not only will you look better, but you'll feel better too! Hang in there, take one day at a time. It doesn't have to be a big choir, think of it as a journey.....to good health.

Hi and welcome. One of the reasons I feel so comfortable here at 3fc is that we come in all ages ... and yes, there's a good portion of us that are no longer spring chickens

Welcome to all the newcomers. I'm pretty new, too, but I found that everyone was so welcoming that I jumped right in.
