Hi,
I am new as well, the point of this is to post and people will reply. Some people ask questions some just vent. Going on daily or more often can help. I find that if I am having a rough day I will go on to see how everyone else is doing, sometimes you see that your "bad day" is only mild compared to what someone else is experiencing makes you feel better and want to keep up the good work. I have been walking at night, just a little as I have a recent head injury and just don't feel myself yet. I have been drinking my water (64 oz a day!) and concentrating on eating good carbs and more protien. Keep checking the boards, different people will respond and soon you will be a regular at this.
Hope this helped!

Julie

I read about it in FIRST too! Great magazine, the cover said "Lose 45 pounds by Christmas" and that was all I needed to read, I know I won't lose that much by then but I figured well maybe 15. I have been too busy to stay on any plan lately but I have 4 more weeks in a cast so I figured I'd better do something or the lack of activity will make me gain. I am really working on doing one good thing a week, this weeks goal is to drink the water and so far I've been doing good. I made Crystal Light and that sure makes drinking that much water easier. I have been focusing on protien food this week as well and today I had a piece of leftover Halloween candy and it tasted horribly sweet, good sign. I wont weigh in until Monday because I know that it will take that long to show anything. The first week I was on Weight Watchers I lost 6 pounds so I'm hoping to jump start just like that.
Let me know what your short term goals are, they are the easiest to keep!

Take care and remember, nothing tastes as good as being thin feels!

Good start, take one day at a time. 2 weeks is usually when I get bored too. I am going to try and keep it interesting by giving myself new challenges each week, this week was water, next week is walking, week after that.....who knows yet!!! I put pictures of SHAPE models on the mirror in front of my closet and remind myself that if they could do it, I can do it!
I never use pictures of super skinny people because I know I will get discouraged by that. The success stories in that magazine motivate me. If you keep searching on this sight there are alot of success stories here. I also like books, if I keep "fitness" things in the front of my mind it is easier to stay on track.

well my morning is starting off great....i actually don'thave much of an appetite so i had a slim fast shake for breakfast and a granola bar for a snack...i think i am going to eat some of those frozen entree meals beacause my biggest problem is portion control... and i definitely don't care to count calories but i know that will make it easier for me until i get a handle on things..so here we go!!! woo-hoo

Great job !! I had a Weight Watchers teacher who used to say "We are doing this!" and it sounds simple but really, all we have to do is keep doing those "good for you" things day in and day out and soon you will realize "I AM DOING THIS!!"
I've been keeping up with the water but yesterday I had a Pepsi (first one in a week) and it tasted horrible!! Frozen entrees are a great idea, I used Lean Cuisine for years and loved the convenience and they were pretty tasty. I'd add a piece of fruit and stay within my points.
It snowed 7 inches here last night, it looks like a Currier and Ives scene outside my window.
I know I have lost weight, I can see it in my face, but I refuse to weigh myself until Monday, I LOVE surprises! I have a meeting in a week and I want to wear this skinny, black skirt and not have a belly bulge....that is my motivation for the next week!
Keep up the great work, your attitude is perfect!

Thanks Misti, I love this site! I weighed in and lost 3.5 pounds last week !! I am having trouble posting (something to do with cookies) that's why the aaaaaaaaaaaa post I was trying to get it through, then the next "real" post I sent wouldn't go through!!
hopefully this will work...
