New GUY on the block

  • Hi all... I'm 35, lost 110 pounds in 2002 and have kept most of it off ever since. I went from 310 down to 200 by walking 5-8 miles every day and counting calories. Since them I've put a few pounds back on, hovering around 222. The other day I was 229 and decided it was time to get serious again. I really want to get back down to 200!

I'm working out almost every day (cardio and weights) and counting calories. I have a big chart on the wall in my kitchen where I track calories, workouts and weight. I'm only 4 days into it but I intend to stick with it this time. I know from experience that it's the long term commitment that makes a difference... a little at a time.

Here's a picture of me before and after
(the after was when I was about 222). Looking forward to talking with many of you. Thanks for all the support!
  • Welcome, Kevin! We love having guys here too!

Congratulations on your fabulous weight loss and for keeping almost all of it off. You might want to check out the Maintainers Forum (not just for people at goal) - we have a 'sticky' thread called Relapse that might be interesting to you. Many of us have found that maintenance is a lot like a roller coaster - up and down - and we have to work hard every day at keeping it heading in the right direction.

You've done it before - you can get there again!
