I have spent the past couple of hours reading the site, and browsing through the posts, and this is EXACTLY the place I need to be!
I have been heartened by your success stories, and can sympathise when the weight is not coming off. It's great to find a place where everyone goes through it together!
My name is Fiona, I am 38, from the Midlands in England, and have been overweight since my late 20's. I am asthmatic, and unfortunately have to take a lot of steroids, and although I blame them for my weight gain to just about everyone I know - I'm not going to do that here! Basically, I love good food, and I love a good drink! That is the reason I have to skim over the size 10's in a clothes shop, and opt instead for the 18's....
So, I'm not sure of what I weigh. I have joined a gym, and start tomorrow, so will weigh and measure myself then. I believe I have a good 60 pounds to lose, which is quite a scary thought, but I am feeling ok about it at the moment!
I look forward to chatting with you guys on here, giving and hopefully getting advice and motivation for this battle ahead!
