Hello! Newbie here!
Hello everyone!
My name is Katie, and I live in California. I feel like I really seriously need to do something to change my lifestyle, NOW! I have always been one of those yo-yo dieters. I deprive myself from all my junk food habits, eat healthy and exercise, lose maybe 5 pounds, and fall off the bandwagen and gain it all back.
My weakness is sweets. I LOVE chocolate. You name it, I'd eat it. And let's not forget the normal fast food problem.
Last year, all year, I worked out 5 days a week and ate moderately healthy. I've been able to keep off 4 pounds that I originally lost, which is great to be able to keep it off permanently. But some snuck back up on me.
Now, I'm ready for a change. A gym seriously just opened 1 week ago, right across the street from my work. It would take me 30 seconds to walk to the front door. I just joined, and I started my "new lifestyle" this past Tuesday. Eat healthy, and exercise regularly. My new motivation? My boyfriend is in the Marines, and is coming home either the middle or end of December. And I want to do a short term goal of losing 10 pounds by then. It's going to take some effort, but I have the drive and desire to do this!!
I have been lurking around this board and there is so much friendship, support, and motivation here and I am so glad to have joined! Looking forward to meeting you all on my little journey!!
