No, it's not new... but most people do not realize the extent of it. And yes, it happens with SOME of the meat you buy in the store, too... but you CAN find meat that has not been grown and processed that way.

Perhaps it won't change your mind and that's fine... I had already decided to at least buy a meat grinder before I read the book as I was also aware of a lot of what is going on. But when huge percentages of the ground beef being tested contains fecal matter... the "big words" for a word I can't even say in this forum but we all know what is... go ahead and eat it if you want. I intend to do all I can to keep from having "you know what" in my sandwiches. I am working too hard to get fit and healthy to destroy it with chemicals, pesticides and filth.

The book didn't really change my opinion either, although I don't eat KFC or Mc D's...but again the one's I eat at aren't good either.
Thanks Pink... I still am pondering the idea. But you hit the nail on the head and that's 'support', that's what I'm really needing and that is the main reason why I came back here. My family is awesome but they don't understand why I find it so hard to lose weight or maintain it when I do lose it. They think it's as easy as snapping my fingers. I quit smoking 3 years ago, I smoked for 13 years, I did it cold turkey! But this is harder, sometimes it's more about an inner struggle not an addiction. Oh well, have a good night ladies!
