Smile Anyone want a British Buddy?

Hello!

I am hoping I can Buddy up with someone here, for daily mutual support.

Live: SW of England
Family: DH 36 and DS 22 months
Me: 33 year old Chemistry teacher

When my son was 12 weeks old I followed the ww diet for 9 weeks and dropped from 185 lbs to 160 lbs - I found that pretty easy as I was BFing and there were no leftovers of his to tempt me. Then Christmas 04 came, then he started solids and I started hoovering them up! So, here I am 15 lbs or so up from that! I have started countless diets since then but all have clearly failed. I REALLY need to do this now, it is getting me down.

I'm not sure what my final goal will be - 128 would be great but, realistically, 140 would be wonderful - ****, 160 would be pretty damn good! I have decided to break it down into BMI numbers, which for me is 6 lbs.

I am keen to get fit as well as slim so exercise will have to be a big feature of my weight-loss regime. I like the ww points system and I am also quite tempted by body-for-life.

Anyone fancy a buddy?

Hi Zeke, Don't get discouraged! I'm sure there will be lots of people dropping by. I would love to buddy up with you, but I have a lot more to lose than you do, so you may prefer to find someone with a similar goal. (my goal weight is higher than your starting weight ) I'm reading the Body for Life book, and I am working on his exercise plan, but I'm doing something different for the food portion.

I had to laugh about your hoovering up the leftovers comment. I think many of us Moms do that. I've finally learned to tell myself "I'm not a human trash can. I'm not a human trash can. I'm not a human trash can..."

There are also specific forums for WW and for Body for Life, if you're interested.
