Default Newbie

Hi Everybody

I've decided to stop lurking and introduce myself. I am a 42 year old single mother of two teenagers -- Lexis is 14 and Lindsey is 18. Lindsey is married and expecting my first grandbaby around Thanksgiving! Still think I'm too young to be a grandma!

I'm from the South (Louisiana) and really enjoy eating all the fattening foods we have here. I think I've been overweight all my life, just like with most of my dad's side of the family, and, of course, I had to take after them!! My mom just happens to be a tiny, petite, blue-eyed blonde thing! Figures! I have been thin one time in my life but that was many, many moons ago (before kids) and still thought I was fat then. Do you ever really get out of that "I'm fat" mindframe no matter how much weight you loose?!

I'm doing W.W. Flex Plan and am loving it. I've found this to be the easiest change for me. So far I've lost 27.8 pounds since January 2006. I weigh in tonight and hopefully I've lost another pound or two.

There is a lady that just joined our support group (sticking with it) that is on ww. she's lost 15 pounds but feeling alittle discouraged so you two could probably help each other alot since you are on the same diet.

Anyway we are in the Support section "Sticking with it week 1" if you would like to take a peek.

Good morning LindaB and everyone else!
I'm a 48 year old single mother with a 7 year old. I'm doing the WW flex plan and have lost 14.4 lbs in the last 5 weeks. I really like the program! Sounds like you are doing great!!! Congratulations!!!! I lost 1 lbs this week. Keep up the great work and feel free to mail me if you want to talk or need support. This is a wonderful site with so many supportive people here!

To all the ladies here ... you all deserve a BIG and a and for all the pounds and ounces lost!

It's just one day at a time and don't beat yourselves up over a gain. Nobody's perfect and we didn't gain it overnight! The trick is to not stay on the gaining cycle and get back on track!

The first step is actually starting on this life changing plan. Can't say "diet" because we are changing our eating habits and "diet" sounds so temporary. And we surely don't want this to be temporary!

You are all my heros!

Lilybelle!! I'm jealous! Only FIVE more pounds to go before you reach goal!!!!! You go girl!!
