I am 5'0" and I was stable between 120-125 for about 3 years, but then it crept up to 129, then 132, and then finally this winter it went all the way back up to 142. I've had a really stressful winter because of work and I think that was the kicker.
Anyway, so now the stress from work has died down, and it's springtime. I'm anxious to get outside now that the weather is getting nice and be really active and get back down to the weight that'll make me feel good about my body again.
I am a runner, so I've got the exercise thing down. My weakness is food. I've got a crazy sweet tooth and love to eat. When I last lost the weight, I was using a computer program to track my food and calories. I think that's key for me. I've never been able to lose weight without the numbers written down to keep me honest. So this time, I've got a Palm Pilot with "CalorieKing.com" software on it. I just need to be religious about using it, and make sure I don't slouch on the exercise front.
Man, I can't wait until it gets warm enough to go out on my road bike. I'm gonna burn some serious calories doing that. And I can even go on short hikes on the weekend. I've got to take the time to make healthy, tasty meals too. Seems like there's never time to cook, so then I eat crap.
I've got to get psyched up, get obsessed with this. If I can do that, then I'm gonna be one hot chicky by late summer.
Today was a good start. I ran 60 minutes out on a pretty road that runs by a river. I tracked all my calories.
Howdy to all you chickies fighting the same battle of the bulge!

), so it's great that you only have to focus on food instead of food and working out. I'm sure you can putter around the forums and find some great quick recipes, and I'm sure you'll lose that weight in no time!
