Losing4Another - It does sound like we are in the same boat!! It's amazing to read a story so similar to mine!

2 years ago the doc put me on a diet - lose 40lbs. he told me - I lost 20 and we started Clomid. I GAINED something terrible on Clomid - my eating/exercise habits were the same, but all of a sudden I was gaining and I gained back the entire 20 I had lost, PLUS 20 more! That put me at my highest weight (297). My doctor was not happy. He was very UNhappy and even a bit mean about it. I stopped ttc and stopped dieting and just sort of stagnated at 297 for over a year. Then finally on 8-29-05 I decided I had to do SOMETHING for myself and this weight loss thing is the something. As much pain and anguish as we have went through ttc, one would think that losing some weight would be something I would have happily jumped on board to do - but I didn't. I wanted injectibles but the doc refused me and that left me between a rock and a hard place. So I started dieting and over the course of these several months have finally started getting the weight off.

I'm ready to start ttc again so I found a new RE to work with me, that will respect that I am doing something about losing weight (I'm keeping all my food/fertility charts to show him that I'm serious about this). Best Wishes to you! May 2006 be your year!
Sassy - Thank you for posting. I know that you mean well...and you are sharing ideas that you think will help me - I appreciate that.

I did set my GW low, very low. On most BMI calculators, it is considered underweight or below underweight. But pushing for that weight keeps me going, it keeps me motivated. But as you noted, the chances are slim. In between here and there I do set minigoals - for the months of March, April, and May I am trying to lose 10 pounds per month. I'm lacking 3 pounds to make my March goal. That's 1.5 pounds per week and I think I can do it.

I'm also on the Easter goal list here at 3FC for 10 pounds by Easter - that will mean I made my March goal, and am over halfway through my April one. (So I'll treat myself to a small piece of candy on Easter when I make that goal.) I'm also doing a Chocolate Challenge for Lent - No chocolate, no matter what form/type.
Best Wishes Everyone!
