Default Need a mentor/friend someone to chat with!!!!

Hello all. I am from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and started the South Beach Diet on January 17th 2006. Looking for people to chit chat about the daily ups and downs!!! Have been overweight since the age of 13 and now I am 31 with a 21 month old little and brilliant boy. I had a bad car accident in 2001 which has limited my capability of excercise, if any!!
Lets connect and get rid of this weight!!!

Hi! I'm new here also.. I tried South Beach before, and it didn't work to well for myself, but I have a girlfriend who has lost over 60 pounds on it. My husband has a workmate that's lost 70 on SB too, so it does work! Good luck and i'll be curious how it goes for you.

MsCrockett - that's what i'm doing as well. My husband and I were on it about 5 years ago, and he lost nearly 100 pounds. You are right, I feel the same way. The diet didn't fail me, I failed the diet. I finally came to the realization that we have to always continue to eat this way, and not look at it as a diet, but rather a life style. Inovative dishes and deserts is the key also. It keeps you on it!

Fix you a weight counter and we can compare! LOL

You can do this. You are worth it, and you deserve it! Be good to yourself.
