Thanks! You too!

Every pound of determination is needed to eliminate one pound.

I thought the loosing weight/exercise would be really tough in conjunction with quitting smoking, but I find that it takes my mind off wanting to smoke. Of course any exercise just highlights that I don't ever want to smoke again.

I only found this sight a couple of days ago, but everyone has been such an inspiration and support.

Thumbs up

AvsGirly - You got it going on! Just keep it up.

St. Pats Day Challenge - I'll take it for 6 lbs. Any extra will be a bonus, but no more than 24 which would be 4 lbs per week and depending on our starting weight could be very unhealthy.

Everyone: BE STRONG AND WE CAN BE EACH OTHERS MOTIVATION!

Well we have quite a large group out there! I just need to remember that I will have worked so hard, so I don't want to ruin it all on green beer! (Well maybe one...save some flex points!)

Food at work is the worst. I teach so almost daily I have some kid bringing me a birthday treat, or there is food in the faculty room, or we have some other food treat in class! Yikes! What helps me best is I think of where all those little kids touched before giving me that brownie (NOT SO APPETIZING!) Hey works for me!

Hi! I'd love to join you! I'm also looking for a weight loss buddy, so if anyone wants to pair up with me, send me a PM. I need someone(s) to help me stay accountable. I'm 25, and teach 7th grade English. I have about 20-30 more pounds to lose to be in a really healthy weight range. I've lost 20 lbs. since July--slowly but surely.

Well supposedly everyone there is pretty much on a diet too. But mainly its the guys who bring it in or our customers. LOL And its so hard to stay motivated to go to the gym when youve been on your feet all day and they say no more. I usually go right after work but have to come home first to eat something light then let the dog out. So now i have to motivate myself to go there tonite. But i promised myself and well yall that i was going 5 days this week so i need to go.

Well the reason Im going 5 times this week is that it too a lot of effort to go 3 times last week and i didnt lose any weight last week as well. Need to get into the swing of going to the gym more frequently for awhile. If i say im only going 3 days a week i push it off and then i never do. Its almost like programming my mind to get into the gym mind-set and that its almost fun to go. Know what I mean. Hope that made sense LOL
Plus going 5 times this week is my little goal for myself.

Red face

Try a Yoga class if possible. It takes away all the stress and eventually you can get a work out from it - mid work week is best to get the week feeling strong enough. I work out Body Pump class Monday/Wednesday (it totally kicks my butt literally still feels like my butt has been kicked hard!) and Tues/Thurs are the Cardio days (up to 30 min now and going for 1 hr) but Friday is my light 15 min Cardio day and then 1 hour of Yoga. It is my reward for doing the rest. If I miss a day during the week - I have to go to the Body Pump class on Friday instead of Yoga .

Thats a great idea Nett. Its not like I hate going to the gym. Its just that after a long 8-9 hour day on my feet then i go home let the dog out and eat a little i just dont wanna go back out sometimes. LOL Once i get to the gym Im fine. Its just you know getting up off the couch getting changed, andgoing out to the cold car again. You know how that goes.
I wish i could go from work to the gym but i cant. The doggie comes first lol
So did anyone do anything exciting yesterday?
