Default Losing Weight but I need some support

I started a diet a couple of weeks ago and I have lost weight. Thats great, but my husband is eating all of my meals and snacks. He sets me back and then when I run out of healthy food and have to wait until payday I eat out. Then he mentions that he doesnt think that its on my diet. I am really getting frustrated with him, I just keep telling myself that I am not doing this for him. I am doing this for me and that is all that I will need to keep strong. Any who, I have been trying to walk a mile every day, ive missed a couple days due to weather and schedule. im doing pretty good with that. And as long as I have a meal that is ready to heat up then I wont over eat. I guess that is enough of my rambling for now.

Hi,

Since your husband claims that he didn't know that the food he was eating was your diet food, one suggestion might be to declare a shelf in the fridge and a shelf in the kitchen cabinet as offically YOURS.

"To help you out honey so you won't accidently eat any of my diet food, this is my shelf, my cupboard. I'm going to keep my special foods and snacks seperate from yours so I won't run out. Thanks for understanding and helping me out."

Just a thought!

Good luck!

Hello and !!! I know exactly how it is to have a hubby who eats all your stuff. But what I do is when I go and get groceries I tell him to go buy some breakfast and lunch stuff for himself while I get my own breakfast and lunch stuff and then I get dinner items that I will make for the both of us. I still make low cal and healthy stuff for dinner and he eats it so usually that solves our problem. If you need someone to talk to or anything just let me know! I have also been on my diet for just acouple weeks and already I have had a mess up or two. It's hard and it is always good to have someone there for you! Well hope everything goes well!!

One word..."SHARPIE!" LOL! I mark all my foods in the fridge and NO ONE dares to touch it! LOL!! I have one of those hubby's also...mine always tries to sabatoges me into eating unhealthy foods. he says "I eat like a bird." Uh, I heard birds eat twice as much as thier own weight...GOOD GOD!!! LOL!!

Anywho, do what you have to/need to do in order to control YOUR life! It sounds like if your husband gave you support, you'd have your food until the next paycheck..... I hope he realizes what he's doing.

Good luck!

I dont have a hubby stealing problem but i do have a 3 yr old thief who likes to snatch my diet foods and how do you tell a 3 yr old he cant have that healthy food, lol. So i am praying it lasts till i go shopping again and this time i plan on buying his own servings, lol. I would tell hubby that if he insists on eating your stuff that next time you go shopping thats all you will buy for him too so he will have his own!!!

Hi, Sounds like your husband is trying to sabatoge your diet? Do you think that could be the problem? A lot of men get nervous when their wives start losing weight. If it's just that he likes your diet food, can you buy enough for both of you? Wouldn't hurt for the whole family to eat healthy!
