I'm married to a Navy man and we're stationed in Hawaii.
Can I just say THANK YOU to you strong women who hold down the fort while your husbands are gone! THANK YOU for all you do!!! I for one LOVE the military life. I feel like I'm doing something important standing behind my man no matter where his carreer takes him! We've been married for 3 years and of those three years he's only been deployed for a total of 8 months. I've been lucky, but even if it'd been more than that I wouldn't change our life for the world!!! I feel empowered that I can accomplish things here on my own while he's away. It gives me a HUGE sense of accomplishment to know how strong I am at times!
My husband just got back from a tour in Iraq last month... came home 2 fingers short even. I'm thanking my lucky stars that his injuries weren't more traumatic but I know what he's doing is a great great thing that he's proud of!!! I'll stand behind him 100percent through that!
Hang in there ladies!! It makes me SO proud to think of the wonderful service our husband's (and ourselves) are making for this country. YAY for that!!
