OK, I guess I'm really doing this. My name is Teri, I'm 31 (ouch) & live in Tennessee. I have never posted on a message board or anything remotely similar. I found this site a few days ago & I have been snooping a little since. Everyone one here seems to be really nice & supportive. I don't know if that's what it will take for me or not this time, but here's to trying.
I have been overweight most of my life. Yo-yoing up & down. My highest weight was around 370 maybe more, I'm really not sure. All that I can say is that I couldn't fit into a size 28 pant unless they were elastic waist & they were very tight. I lost down to a size 18 a couple of years ago & was able to maintain until about a year ago when I went back up to a 20 & weighed about 295. About 4 days ago, depressed because I KNEW I had gained even more, I got on the scales & sure enough there it was 301.5! What a kick in the face. I didn't start "dieting", but just watching a little. I really don't know how, but today I weighed in at 295.5. OK so I'm not kidding myself, I'm sure it was fluid & day to day fluctuations, but it's a start.
I guess what I'm going for here is that I need help. I know myself & I have a hard time sticking to things when I don't see great results. I'm looking for some actual things that some of you guys have done that has helped. Any particular plans, menus, even diet aids, anything - I'm desperate!
