Default Hi everyone!

I am so excited that I found this place! I can't wait to check out everything that is offered and to get to know all of you!

I am 41 years old and am tired of my body being in pain because of all of the extra weight that I carry. I was on medication for several things but lost my insurance and don't look to getting it back so the only way that I will survive is to get the weight off.

I would love to have a buddy but don't really know what all that entails yet.

I just had my 7th anniversary and I have four kids - two boys that are 19 & 15 and twin girls that are 6.

I am also tired of being an embarassment to my kids. They don't say anything but I know that they have to be.

Anyway, I think I'm done babbling for now.

Hi,
I am glad you found this place too. There is a wealth of information here.
I would be happy to be one of your buddies. We are in the same age group so that would probably help us Being buddies just means supporting each other in our quest. Buddies either email or im eachother, usually daily to see how the other one is doing and share their ups and downs, offer support, in general just being a good friend! Someone you can share weight issues with that you might not a "real" friend. After all it is easier to talk to that faceless person.

Hi I am 43 years old and I am tired of hurting too. I have two girls age 24 and 13. I don't like being the overweight mom. Many of my 13 year old daughter's moms are not overweight. I want my children to be proud of me but more importantly I want to feel proud of myself. So if you want to talk I'll be back to respond and encourage you. Take care Yvette.

Default Hi

Good for you! You've taken the first step! And looseing weight does make such a big difference, health wise. My sister was on 3 meds for her BP and she lost 60 pounds and exercises and now is is on 1/2 of one of them! And she feels and looks so much better. I am on the verge of having to go on BP meds also. My last Dr. visit wasn't great and he said we would watch it. I REALLY don't want to go on medication. So, if looseing weight and exercising is what it takes, that's what i'll do.

And looseing weight will set such a good example for your kids. So I know you can do it! One step at a time!
