Default Brand new and looking for a buddy

Hi all,

I just signed up and hope to find an email buddy. I'm much older than a lot of you, but feel 35-ish. I am a middle school teacher--7th grade--which means a lot of stress. I am beginning, in a small way at the moment, the Jorge Cruise 3 hour diet. It makes a lot of sense to me, and I love the idea that the belly fat goes first. I was seriously thinking about signing up on his website, but this seems better. I spent yesterday and this morning lurking and liked what I saw.

This is my best time of year to lose weight. I usually lose in the summer and gain it all back during the school year, especially after the holidays.
A few summers ago, I did very well on the Zone. I lost 20 pounds, was down to 140, but couldn't keep it going during the school year. Now I need to lose 40 pounds to get to 140, but I think I am ready. I figure that if I can do this diet all summer, it will be ingrained by the time I go back to school in August.

I could keep writing, but I think I'll do it in the journal section. If anyone is interested in being my buddy, I would love to hear from you.

Later,

ShinyMom

Hi there! I am also following the plan. I just joined this website today. I have been on the plan for 2 weeks and love it. I have released 5 lbs so far and my energy is better than ever. If you ever want to chat let me know!! My goal is to lose 50lbs...so I guess I have 45 left!! Good luck!

Hi Libbysmom,

I sent you a private message. Did you get it? I guess it wasn't necessary to respond that way, but I did. I'm still getting the hang of all this.

I was very happy to hear from you, and would love to be your buddy. : I'm not sure how this works. If you know more than I obviously do, let me know.

I told you in the post that I had lost four pounds and this morning I was down one more. So this program is obviously working. When I was on Atkins, I went for days on end without losing an ounce. I've been walking with my son Erik. Tomorrow, after Father's Day festivities, we are going to take a much longer walk.

I hope you had a great Saturday. Hope to hear from you soon.

Default Cruise etc. - Hello!

Hi ShinyMom,

Need another buddy?

I started using the Jorge Cruise - 8mm and the cruise down plate in March 2004, and am pleased with my slow and steady progress. I hope you are continuing to do well.

Hi All, I'm older than most of the others too, and I think we have special problems. It's just a little harder to loose the weight and keep it off when you'r older. I haven't gotten the book yet, but I put in a request for it at the library. Sounds interesting, especially aout loosing the belly weight first! I hae a very high stress job also. I'm a nurse, work 12 hour shifts. If any one is intersted in a buddy let meknow. My e-mail is [email protected]

Talking New And Older Too!

Hi all,
I am 58 this year and weigh 178! I was 242 six years ago, haven't gone back to that, but I was 136 last year. I am just the original yo-yo dieter!!

I agree its harder as you get older; even though we work, there's a bit more money and a bit more time, and I seem to spend both eating. I watched Maury Povich the other day, first day of my new diet and there were poor people that weighed up to 851 pounds. It was heartbreaking, most of them quite young.

So, back to the calorie counting for me. I am allowing myself 1500 this time, normally I go down to 1200 but no rush, just so long as I get there?

I can't find the thread now, but there was a lady from Connecticut who was in Australia last year; she's my age, my height, my weight - I would LOVE to hear from you!!

Keep up the good work everyone, lovely to meet you all.
