I really want to try the Mediterianian diet. My doc told me this is the best one out there. The only problem is, I hate seafood! BLEECH! Is it possible to do this diet without the sea food?

I also have two scales. i was keeping one in the kithchen by the fridge, but everytime I saw it peaking out from under the desk at me I would kick it back under. It's amazing how a number can make us feel about our selves. I just want to be healthy.
I'm counting weight watchers points. I find it to be quite easy. there are no meetings where I live though so I'm going to have to be very committed to this little ticker. I've also quit drinking pop. It's been 5 days and I haven't harmed anyone so I'm doing pretty good.

Hi my name is Lisa and I am new to the site. I need to lose 120 . I have had weight issues since I had my first baby almost 16 years ago. I lose then gain back . I will be 38 in August and would really like to have some support from women in the same situation.

I have joined curves (I Love It so far). I am trying to eat healthy. I could go on a fad diet and lose the weight but this time I want it to be a lifestyle change.

Thanks ladies!

Wow ! I haven't checked in in a few days, and what a great response to Deerod's original post.

So how is everyone doing ? I am still struggling with staying on a program... I think the key is finding one that works for me and one that I can stick with for the long term. I have considered going back to WW, but am still trying to make the decision, and decided whether or not I really want to commit that much financially.

I checked out ediets this week, but not really keen on having a full meal plan set out for me. If it was more of a meal building tool then I think I would have liked it better.

So what is everyone else doing ? What is keeping you going ?

Well I am off to bed. Have a great evening/day and chat with you all soon.

p.s. What did we think about starting up a PIC (Partners in Crime) Support Group ?

clip clop.. I'm sorry you havent found anything you enjoy.. I to do not want to pay someone to tell me what I can and can not eat.. I know what I can and can not eat,, i just have to not eat it.. is it me or do all over weight people know how to lose weight, and give advice to people on losing weight but when it comes down to it, we just don't do it.. I've been reading this book (I cant remember the name of it but I'll post it later) and on the first pages it kept saying, in order to lose weight you have to have you're mind set.. if you dont have your mind set, then its the kiss of death.. so this time.. I want to eat healther, I want to write down what I eat, and I want to excercize.. it's not, I have to do this I have to do that.. I WANT WANT WANT!!! sorry to keep babling.. but I'm going into this with an attitude of strength that I've never had before.. good luck to you

hello clip clop.. well so far so good.. I've been counting calories and excersizing.. I write down everything I eat and if it doesnt have a nutritional content on it or about it, I wont eat it.. been mostly living on lean cusine and using my calorie king book as a life jacket.. I'm allowing myself one cheat day a week to eat anything I want and I'm only going to weigh myself once a month because if I dont see a change in the scale I tend to give up.. except for this month, the last time I weighed myself was 4-17-05 and I'm going to weigh myself on may 1st.. mainly because I think its easier to always do it on the first, and second because I'm kind of anxious..
