I joined here last year, but I didnt really do anything. I was thinking about needing to lose some weight before a trip in april, and remembered this forum. I have a short term goal of 10 lbs by april, but my main goal 30 total by Aug when I go on a cruise with almost all of my family. (there will be about 30 of us on the boat!)
I cannot do anything that even looks like a fad diet, because my "normal" weight hubby, says that in the end they dont do anything for a person exept make them feel bad when they get back into the real world of eating. BUT he is excited about trying new low fat and more balanced meals. So if you have any recipes out there that include our fav foods such as sugar and snap peas and fresh green beans, chix and pasta in them PLEASE PM me! I have already pulled about 10 recipes from this site but a few more would never hurt!
I am also going to exercise 4-5 times a week. I started just this week (last Sun) and I can already feel my energy levels improving@! Although my buns and tummy are hurting today!
Anyway, thanks for listening to me ramble! I hope to make alot of friends around here!
