Talking ~Hello~

Hello all~

My name is Jenn. I am 31 and live with my DH of 5 years and our 5 yo son. I am a nurse and work at a local regional jail. Right now I weigh 185-190 lbs. (depends on which scales I'm on). My MD just put me on Meridia 10mg last week. So far I really like it. I like the energy boost and the fact that I am eating MUCH less. For breakfast and lunch I make a smoothie with slimfast, yogurt and fruit. For dinner I have a sald with tuna or chicken on it. I am also drinking lots of water. That is another good thing about this pill. It causes dry mouth so I am forever drinking water. I joined Curves for Women back in the summer but had stopped going. I started that back up this past Tuesday. My first goal is to lose one dress size by February 26. I am going on a cruise and want to wear some dresses that I just bought.

Just wanted to introduce myself. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Jenn :-)

Hello and welcome to you both, lpnin03 and stevensdar.....eating smaller more frequent meals, to keep your metabloism up is a GREAT thing!! The one thing most people do is starve themselves...thinking it will aid in weightloss, when the truth is, for your metabolism to keep working at it's maximum, your body needs to eat. (fuel)....Picture yourself as a car. You need gasoline to work, right? Well, you are much like a car, in order for yourself to "burn" fat, you need the fuel to keep it running.

Both exercise and will power pay great roles, and I wish you both much luck on your journey, just remember, it is WHO you are, not WHAT you are!!

WELCOME,

Remember that you are the person that will be doing this. Treat yourself right.

Be happy, be strong and stay motivated.

Small steps reap big gains.

You CAN and WILL do this.
