Red face new here from bama

hey everyone a newbie here. i need help im 19 266lbs i would love to get down to 200 at least but i dont even know where to begin. i have never dieted or really exercised. so anyone have any suggestions of where to start. thats my biggest problem i dont know where to begin.

Welcome the the boards Amy
I'm from Alabama too (war eagle!). You've made a first step in deciding that you want to lose weight. What I did when I first started was went to www.fitday.com and started logging everything I ate. And I mean everything, if you cheat the only person you hurt is yourself. It was scary how much calories I was taking in, and how many of those calories were fat.

Right now it's really cold down here, (well it's cold for alabama anyways) so finding and exercise plan that works might be difficult for you. But you can do it... just need some determination. The boards are wonderful support tho if you need a buddy let me know.

I live in Auburn currently, but I'm from the midwest so I wont hold the alabama fan thing against ya'

I wish I could give you more advice, but I really just started my weight loss plan in the last month or so. I think the hardest part was to get started... after that it's just a matter of stubborness... and well I'm pretty stubborn.

You've taken the first step, now you just have to take the ones afterwards. Just remember that you can do this, and you have a lot of people here cheering for you.
