Default New kid on the block!!

Hi everyone.....I just wanted to introduce myself....I just registered with this wonderful site today and I'm looking forward to having someone to share this long journey with.....I just went to the doctor this morning and after stepping on the scales, I was so ashamed and embarassed....I just wanted to hang my head and walk out of there....but I know that that would have been the easy way out....the best thing for me to do is to accept what I have to do and do it.....2 years ago I weighed 170lbs...today I weighed 252lbs I know that for my health and well-being, I've got to do it....my short term goal is 15lbs by Nov 1st ( my anniversary), but my long term long is 100lbs. My doctor recommended the sugarbusters diet, so that is what I'm starting as of tomorrow morning. Thanks for listening.

Hey Iris! I do not follow that specific diet, I do South Beach, but I wanted to wish you good luck. The first step is knowing that changes need to be made, and the next is doing something about it. You seem to be on your way to a new, healthier, fit you! Good luck, and I hope that you achieve everything you hope for.

Hey girl! Glad to see you are joining this long and painful journey with us. I too just started a Weight Watchers on line about 2 weeks ago. Its good for me cause Im using the flex points, so im not limited to what i can eat. Any I have about 70 pounds to lose myself. Feel free to PM me anytime you need to chat

Hello Iris and welcome,

I also have 100 pounds to lose, I would be happy with more but would settle for less. I started Sugar Busters last week and at my first weigh-in had lost 3 and 1/2 pounds. My next weigh-in is Friday, but it feels like I lost more this week. I love SB, it is the only plan I have tried lately where I have lasted more than a week. I feel great, I don't have cravings for my best friend sugar, and I feel satisfied after a meal, both in my stomach and in my head (I'll explain that more if you don't understand).

As you probably know there is a SB board on this site with some great folks posting. My problem is that there are so many daily posts that I have trouble reading them all and remembering people. It takes a lot of time. If you would like, continue posting here and I will check this thread every day.
