Thumbs up

Hey 30lbs lost already? Great job! I have to lose about 150 to get to my goal. I'm only going on 24 and I know you're looking for someone more your own age, but if you need someone to talk to, I'm here for you.

Hi,
I am not 40 ( only 34), but when I started out I had (at least) 120 pounds to lose. I have lost 68, and have 52 to go.

Congratulations on taking this step health and wellness. I am so proud of all us for doing this, especially when we have significant amounts to lose. Way to go with the 30 pounds! Keep up the great work!

hi, i'm 32.. i forget how much i have to lose, it's on my little bar thing down there. i love those bar things, they're very inspiring to me. i do have one question.. which came first, the diet.. or the yoyo it's late and i'm sleepy.. when i'm sleepy, i get a little silly. perhaps i'll type more tomorrow if you all don't mind if i sit in here sometimes.

I've just hit forty, in feb this year, I weighed 320lbs, now I weigh 270lbs. I'm british so I'm used to working in stones so I hope I've converted my weight properly! It sounds loads in lbs.
Have you always had a weight problem? I have, though as I've got older its gotten harder to lose weight a AND more keeps creeping on! Having children in my late 30s did'nt help either! I think some exercise helps, lifting your mood and speeding up your weight loss.

best wishes,
sharon

Hi Folks,

Thanks for posting. It is so nice to have company on a long journey!

fatchck - I love your avatar! It's hot!!! Feel free to sit in her anytime you would like. I too am inspired by the little counter thingies.

voodoo1 - Welcome! Since you asked; no I have not always been heavy. I was very heavy as a child. Slender as a preteen, teenager and early twenties. I even worked as a professional model (5'10"+, 129) When I quit modeling I went up to 160 and felt comfortable there. But since my mid twenties I have put on about ten punds a year for twenty five years. Hence, I have 200+ pounds to lose and appreciate the support at 3FC. How about you?

butter ball no more - You have one of my favorite log in names. Welcome and thanks for checking in. Exercise is one of my goals. I have worked up from 15 to 45 minutes and now have a goal of being more consistent. May 5-6 days a week. How about you?

sveva and venus in mourning - it has been great chating with you. Let's keep it up.

Cheers

Default 4.4 pounds WOW!

Congratulations BBNM that's terrific. I am hoping to have one of those weeks soon. I have been pretty much on plan but feel my resolve waving a bit. Great news like yours really helps. I may go out to the State Fair today. Not sure what my eating strategy is. Think I will stick with the usual. Have fun and You deserve it!

Hi Denise. Are you still on track? I've lost a few more pounds since we last talked. I need to get my butt in motion though. I got a little lazy on my birthday and slowed down since then.

Hi Venus in Mourning, Congratualtions on losing a few more pounds I was a little discouraged about not losing the past couple of weeks but can definitely feel my clothes are looser this week. I think I saw that you are in the points challenge. Hopefully that will help us both stay motivated over the coming weeks and beyond. As BBNM and many others have said, weight loss calls for life long change. Let's go! Denise
