Just a note to introduce myself... I'm Kriseliz, I'm 58, newly remarried after being on my own for thirty years, self-employed as a writer. I have about 75 pounds to lose, and my plan is what I like to call the DASH/EHOE diet... the NHLBI's DASH diet in general, and my own "Eat Half of Everything" diet for restaurants. I never used to eat out, but my husband likes to eat out virtually every night, and that has been part of my problem.
I've also stopped walking. I have two doggies and when I lived in my little condo I walked them twice a day, without fail... I had to! Now we're all fortunate enough to be living in a lovely house with a beautiful big fenced yard... and it's so easy to just let the doggies out. They run around and get their exercise anyway. I don't.
Anyway, that's me, and I see that there are some ladies downthread looking for senior buddies, so I think I'll go say howdy...
