These things take time. The first week probably had water included in that weight loss. That is common when starting most any diet. I know that can be frustrating for the second week weigh-in.

Are you exercising? Are you still drinking water regularly? Is it time for your period? Have you had increased sodium? Are you counting any little bites of things that you sample while cooking- if you do that? These are a few things that can affect weight gain. It is also important to understand that many people lose weight in a stair step fashion and not straight down. Lose a few pounds - maintain a while - lose a few - maintain a while. Don't beat yourself up about blowing it today. Just stop NOW and eat your next meal within a healthy point range. Don't give up! You for sure won't make your goal if you do. Hanging in there can be hard at times, but you will make your goal if you are determined. Good luck!

You really want to know what you did wrong, you didn't give yourself a pat on the back and credit for having the strength to join and start moving forward! No fear, it is recoverable and you will make some mistakes, don't beat yourself up, pick yourself up and move on with it. These first weeks on a diet (no matter what diet) are the hardest you are changing your food and eating habits and fighting with your mind to accept these changes! Also, as Jennifer says, sometimes the first two weeks the majority of loss is water and then you will begin to stablize out. Drinking more water will actually help you so keep that up and believe them when they tell you how important it is. Don't give up on yourself because you have a slow or no loss week, just remember it is the averages that will count and each body is different. Use all of this time to educate yourself about yourself and learn how you react and how to handle situations that you are uncomforable with and give yourself some praise. You have done the hard work, by getting your mind ready to diet. You had the strength to walk into WW and join, that is one big step. Be proud of yourself for that because there are many people who can't do that. You keep it up because you are doing great and don't realize it just yet. But you will!
