Hi Donna,
Thanks for your encouragement, and I wish you the best too!
I haven't any serious health issues at present, I did have a little blood pressure problem, but my doc says the meds for that will need to be reduced as I continue to lose weight. That is a good thing, I have Thyroid problems which may have contributed to some of my weight, but certainly not all of it. I too have some aches and pains, but that is because I am carrying around too much weight!
I like the taste and variety of the Medifast products, they have oatmeal, soups, bars, cappuccino, hot cocoa, and a choclate pudding that is so good. I usually have a salad or some chicken or fish and veggies for lunch so it is not all liquid intake. There are some days when I have only Medifast products, but not always.
As I said in my post, I am just determined to do this. I want to lose the weight!! and I guess that I am just ready to do this.
My husband is on Medifast too, but he only has a little weght to lose, and he will not be on the program much longer.
I think this site is great and I am loking forward to the support and information found here.
It is very hard to lose weight, I just can't believe I got in this shape. But that is not good, I need to move forward. I am reading some books and some of the Medifast literature deals with why we eat the way we do and the patterns and motives for our food choices.
I like to eat, I like food. I live in Texas and Mexican food is one of my favorites! I am learing that moderation is key, but exercise, calorie control, and the type of food we eat all are important issues.
I am just trying to take it one eay at a time, Medifast is great to me because I only have to decide about flavors, and nothing else. This is gona take a while and I may have minor setbacks, but I'm gona keep at it!!
