New Comittment

  • I am new and have a lot to lose. I am setting small obtainable goals. I know I can lose what I need to and am in good physical shape although I am overweight. I am a walker and dedicated to 35 miles/week. I am a loyal water drinker. I don't smoke, and drink beer occaisionally. My problem is I love fatty foods and don't get enough weight bearing excercise. I signed up for Curves for Women...I will see how that goes. The place is extremely upbeat and Women-centered. I have 100+ lbs to lose. My first goal is to lose 8 lbs by April 1st. Anyone out there in a similar boat? Any tips on staying comitted to a life of healthy living will be greatly appreciated. Thank you to 3FC for the opportunity to share

    Hi Candi, It sounds like you are already on your way. So many of us, me included find the water and exercise a major battle.

    Are you following any particular plan. There are alot of them out there. A lot of people prefer to do their own thing or modify other plans to suit their needs and lifestyles. But this is a great place to come for support, advice, and a lot of fun. Just remember most of us speak from experiences we have and speaking for myself I am in no way a qualified health professional. But it helps to see what others have to share.
