Talking hi! i'm new!

as i said i am new to this site and uncertain how it all works - but i am a quick learner! i am 180 - 29 yo- and have just had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from my spinal cord- before surgury i weighed 196, so i lost weight with being sick. now that i am healthy and motivated to stay that way, i am watching what i eat, not following a "diet" but making progress. i am up walking around right now, will walk around the mall with my cane for exercise and cant wait until i am well enough to do more than that. i think having someone to talk to with similar goals would really help and thats why i came here. i used to be thin - too thin- and now i am too "fluffy" so i know both sides of the coin!

thanks! and i am kicking butt on recovery! this sounds like a good group, i was worried it was going to be like others where no one replied to newbies at all because it was all, how do i put it, clique- ee-- people who had been part of that group for wuite a while and basically ignored new members. thanks for the response! --annie

Redbee, well , I hope and pray that you recover soon. That sounds scary! How long since your surgery? I don't now what too thin would, I don't think I could ever be too thin, but Ido know what the 180's are like. I hope to be out of them soon! Exercise will definitely help so keep it up. I hope all that walking in malls isn't costing too much Well, it's late here so I should go...

Redbee weclome

I hope your road to recovery is a short one. Take care and take it slow. I myself am new to this site , only been on it one week. I have joined a couple challenges and I find most everyone is friendly. I found out in June that my cholesterol was way out wack and I had to change my life style because of the meds they put me on. I started ww and have lossed 5lbs. I need to lose the extra 40 I've packed on over the years.
