Long ago I lost eighty pounds. I was married and had three children. I was a stay a home Mom who had a toddler wrapped around her leg and managed to exercise and get fit. My world fell apart when my spouse left me.
Fast forward to present day. The toddler is turning 19 next week. I live in a nice house, got a college degree and a decent job.
I now have 4 grandsons. I am grateful beyond worlds for the blessings that have come my way.
I am fat. I started thinking about it after Christmas. I bought shoes to work out in. I picked up small hand weights and resistance bands at the thrift store. My youngest gave me her Apple watch so I could monitor my activity. I kept on coming down with bad allergies and colds. Nothing stopped me for long though. I was working towards getting my heart rate up and doing simple Leslie Sansone walking videos. I tried a burpee and felt something painful on the side of my foot.
It's now several weeks later and I have had to go back to really low impact.
Out came the rubber bands and I remembered a set of exercises here on 3FC. I came back and low and behold there was a post from me in 2007 on that thread with the exercises posted by Mel.
That was my sign. I needed to sign in. I am a month in and 8 pounds down, but have been floundering. It's not as easy working full time. I just need to read about everyone else's thoughts, failures and successes to get through mine.
I will be sixty in December and had hope to run in a half marathon. Now i'm resettling my goals to be more easier to obtain.
I'm back too, Sirak! The pounds piled on during Pandemic. I finally said enough! I'm really old, 72. But know that I'd feel better we're I not carrying this extra weight around! So I pulled my info up from 2010! May we all succeed! ❤️
Welcome back! I'm back too after many years. Pandemic, years of work from home, and just becoming complacent have made me gain about 40 lbs. Ready to get back to the hard work and back to goal!!
