Talking Hello! (Again!)

Well, hello there!! I was a member here before, but my life kinda derailed, and, well.....I could make excuses, but i'm here now. Things got a little out of hand and I actually started the process of getting a gastric sleeve (I was 237# at 5'4") I had just finished my 6 month supervised diet plan when my fiance had a hemorrhagic stroke. Long story short, I lost my job and my insurance (and my car, and my house) due to that, and couldn't get the surgery. Fast forward a year, and a start another weight loss program.... doing pretty well.... pandemic hits and that type of medical care is deemed "non-essential" and closed. Grrr. But, at least I'm down to 209, right? Couple months later my migraines are intensifying so my new primary care physician suggests a different preventative medication. Okay, y'know what, after 67 days of a migraine you get to the point that you'd just about drink goat pee if you thought it would relieve the pain so I tell him I'm game. So not gonna lie, the side effects were pretty brutal the first ten days or so but one of those side effects is weight loss. I'm already down ten pounds - I'm under 200 for the first time in ten years, and feeling motivated to keep going. So here I am. ... the only thing is, I am NOT looking forward to shopping. Weight- loss clothes shopping was kinda fun, pre-pandemic. NOT now!!!

Welcome and welcome to One-derland, too. We are sort of in the same boat. I had a 60 pound regain (originally lost 110) when my life derailed and I am now back down to about 199 myself. You have definitely taken a twisting path with your losses but you are on the right track! I agree with you on the shopping. I was lucky---I had 4 sizes of clothes bagged up in my closet -- I just keep trying on smaller ones each time I lose ten pounds.
