Compare it to someone quitting smoking, they rarely succeed and often try dozens of times. A close friend of mine quit for 17 years and went back for a time before quitting again. I personally quit the cigs for a number of years then bummed a couple of cigs from a friend at a wedding, smoked a couple of years after that, quit again and have maintained that for 10+years. I smoked a pack a day for 20 years.none of this stuff is easy wether it is weight,tobacco,acohol, gambling or something more nefarious like heroin.
Whatever is your addiction, it ain't easy to fix it and relapsing is just about expected. I'm certain I'll never smoke anything again, in particular cigs, I can't even stand the smell of it.
