In the process of losing weight, I was 110kg last year now I'm down to 98kg. Hoping to get my weight down to 80kg by continuing to go to the gym 3 days a week and 'trying' to run 5 days in that same week.
Trying not always succeeding.
Hi Paper Clip and welcome! Well done on your progress so far and good luck in completing your journey. I have no doubt that you will find support from this site, perhaps have a look at joining an exercise challenge for accountability or simply jumping in on some discussions or asking questions in the forum.
I am also from the UK, but now living in Portugal, I am mainly working on being mindful about what I eat and cutting out junk food. My exercise is something that I am slowly increasing but hope to make a firm focus in the coming weeks and months to help me reach goal.
Joining an exercise challenge sounds like a great motivator so I'll check that out and will try to chime in discussions when I can.
I wish you luck cutting out the junk food, I found that by substituting bread and potato with cauliflower and brown rice really worked out well for me. I also try to avoid fast food restaurants when I'm feeling tired and my willpower is on the verge of collapsing.
I would say you traded rain for sunshine by moving to Portugal, but I know it rains quite a lot in Portugal this season :smile:.
