Hello All,
Total Newbie here, I am reading a really interesting book which details all about our habits as humans, why we do what we do, why we don't do what we should do etc etc. One of the big studies proves that to change habits and achieve goals (weight loss for me) success rates increase dramatically when you have a support group so here I am looking for your support network!
I don't really have that network at home, outside of my personal trainer(who I think is loosing patience with me) I don't really have anyone there regularly spuring me on. That's probably my fault, people are probably tired of this now as I have been on the journey for so long
I viewed my MyFitness Pal log yesterday and realized this time 2 years ago I was 0.5kg heavier. So in 2 years I have lost basically nothing and spent a lot of money on a gym and personal trainer! The bigger problem is my lack of awareness that I did not know that!
So why something different.... Well I am 29 years old, weight 89kg, suffer with an underactive thyroid and am just sick and tired of this being the one thing I haven't done. I am done with under achieving in this area of my life
I owe this to myself to achieve my dreams here and achieve my weight loss goals. I know why it hasn't worked in the past is because I have given up or given in. So I am arming myself as much as possible and this is my plan:
- Daily contact on this support group
- Weekly weigh in
- A paper weight loss tracker I will fill in weekly for motivation/clarity
- A daily checklist of 5 things I will do each day which will get me to success. I will tick these off each day
- A regular exercise plan
- Goals clearly written down and regular positive affirmations
- Daily food diaries to review
