Hi, I already introduced myself sort of in the Chicks in Control section. I am turning 30 and have almost 30 kg I'd like to lose! I was always very active and easily maintained a very slim weight, but while and after having children I lost the time to play sports and hike as much as I used to, and also out of stress slipped back into a bad habit of really terrible binge eating, which I developed previously as a teenager. Over the next several years, I never have paid much attention to my weight, because I know it doesn't tell the whole story, but I do know from doctor's appointments that I was a little over 50 kg but now weigh somewhere around 75 or 80. My day to day eating habits are quite good, and I expect that if I can get a handle on my binge eating habit, which I feel confident I can do again with concepts from the book Brain Over Binge, and keep an eye on my portions (eating enough for a somewhat active mom, not a super active young athlete), I will be able to slowly and steadily take off the extra fat I've accumulated. I do get a short intense workout in every day and plenty of walks, and I really enjoy working out with kettlebells and getting stronger.
Nice to meet everyone! I hope to find some fun and accountability here to help me keep motivated when the going gets tough. I'd love to meet others with similar goals to share with and encourage each other.
