Hi there! My name is Elanna, I'm 20 years old. I was born in Australia, but relocated to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I have never tried a weight loss forum so I'm really excited to meet some new friends with the same goals!
When I was a child, I was pretty skinny. That was until I hit puberty at the age of 12. After that, I was always a chubby girl. The weight started piling on, and I'm currently at my heaviest - 78kgs. I'm only 5'5, so I'm really overweight. My fats distribute only around my arms and lower body (especially!).
I used to be very insecure about my body because everyone here in Malaysia seems to be stick thin, and I felt like a huge blob. I've learned to overcome that with the support of my boyfriend.
I don't eat junk food, or drink sodas, and I consider myself as a pretty healthy eater. I stay away from desserts, anything too salty, sweet, or oily. BUT, we do eat rice for dinner every day (brown rice). I'm also guilty of not drinking enough water!
A little history on my "weight loss attempts":
1. Totalife (Meal replacement)
I replaced two meals a day with protein shakes and fruits, with 1 normal meal a day. Totalife worked really well for me, but once I stopped, the weight started piling back faster than it shed.
2. Herbalife (Meal replacement)
This did wonders for a lot of my friends and family but it only made me lose around 100g a month.
3. Nulife TR40 (Meal replacement + Supplements + Daily exercise)
This is my most recent attempt. It worked really well for a ton of people, but again, didn't work for me. I replaced two meals a day, and did aerobics for 45mins - 1hour daily.
Gym is not currently an option for me because membership is really expensive here, but I try to do home exercises!
I really want to lose weight because I feel very unhealthy. I don't have that "glow" on my face that I used to. My goal is to get to 60kgs, which means I have a whopping 18kgs to lose.
