Hi Genelia; congrats on starting your journey of weight loss. I've used Atkins for years and love it. I wouldn't be surprised to see anyone sticking to a low-carb diet because once nasty sugar is out of our system, we experience very little cravings of any kind. Well, except me since baked goods have been my downfall after long periods on Atkins
I agree with the approach of reading books. It's fine to say just eat less and exercise more but anyone with a brain the size of a pea knows that!
Whatever eating plan you end up choosing, a book or two can really cement the idea in your mind and give you pointers on menu.
Weight loss is as much about
planning as it is just eating less. Planning those meals for the week and buying groceries for those meals.
Find a plan that makes sense for your lifestyle and I wish you every success!!
oh, some books I've used are Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, Why We Get Fat & What to do About it by Gary Taubes, Protein Power, Sugar Nation by Jeff O'Connell. But there are a ga-zillion books and eating plans. Have fun
