Hi, All,
I'm a gal from BC in my early 40s, who finally got her health together after a near lifetime of obesity and eating disorders, pelvic and metabolic disorders, and food addiction.
I lost 171 pounds starting in March/2014, and maintaining since this summer. I hit "One"-derland in December, 2014, and am looking forward to celebrating that anniversary soon also!
I eat vegan, use My Fitness pal to loosely monitor my day's foods in order to continue maintenance, and wear a Fit Bit Charge to monitor my activities.
I love food, have to eat even more volume now that it's a mostly clean vegan diet, and I minimize refined grains and sugars, preferring iron-rich veggies and fruits, and vegan sources of protein.
I live on a hobby farm where we have a small garden that supplies us with rich foods, as well as orchard fruits that give us a great stone fruit and seeded fruit bounty, along with some berries.
Living off of the land, appreciating homemaking almost everything (even vegetable broths from scraps using NO salt), exercising in the Great Outdoors, and connecting with a normal food relationship have all been my keys to success.
Hi, and I hope to be here for the long haul as it's not something anyone I know in my real life has been through.
