Default Shedding for my wedding

Hello there!

I am so happy to find a really active community to discuss fitness goals with.

I am getting married in Maui in a couple of years and want to look and feel great.
I have a very small frame (wrist circumference is 5 inches), since I hit my 30's my body likes to sit around 133 (I am 5'4).

I wear a size 4 or small/extra small in tops. Usually a 5/6 in bottoms. Even though people say I look thin, I am like all fat and no muscle. I have tons of cellulite on thighs, butt and arms even.

I am trying to lose more weight again before starting to try and tone again. I have a real problem building muscle...like any muscle. I haven't been able to do a pushup or pull up my entire life (even when I weighed 95lbs).

My dad recently found out he may have a genetic disorder in which he doesn't build muscle and may have passed it on to me. I am considering having some testing done.

Any tips on what I can do? I have tried pilates, 21 day fix (this kills me, and I am sore for days), and just regular toning exercises (light weights, crunches, squats, lunges). I have to be careful because my heart rate gets to 180-190 with just walking on an incline and my blood pressure runs low (100/50).

and Chubbysmall! You should definitely ask your doctor about exercise, especially since you may have inherited your Dad's disorder. If it were me, I'd ask to be tested. You mentioned pain from exercising, and although minor aches and soreness are normal, extreme pain is not, and if the exercise is too extreme for you, it could lead to muscle damage. Definitely consult a doctor first, with your family medical history in hand! Aside from the exercise, I wish you the best in having success with healthy eating! This is a very welcoming community, so jump right in! Good luck!

Thank you for the warm welcome and good advice! Yes, I think I will start on some blood work next week and work my way up to the more invasive stuff (like muscle biopsies ). It is kinda embarrassing to be so weak, so I hope I can get this figured out.
